I haven’t done a product review for awhile so figured that I would do one on the Dash Cam we recently purchased. We commute daily into a large metropolitan city of nearly a million people and I must say the traffic gets pretty crazy. We also have had several near misses over the years and figured that it would be a wise idea for insurance purposes to be able to prove a no fault accident with live video capture.
Here is what the manufacture has to say about their product :
The SecurityMan CARCAM-SDE is an easy-to-use high-definition (1080P Full HD) car cam recorder with a 1.5” LCD display and impact sensing recording. It records both audio and video with time & date stamp which can be used to pinpoint exactly when an event occurred. The events are recorded to a Micro SD card which can be used as evidence for auto insurance company if there are any legal complications during an insurance claim. The CARCAM-SDE is perfect for all motorists and it is budget-friendly.
We have had it for a little over a month and I have absolutely no complaints with this unit. Its price point being under $80.00 was good and was not clunky of cheap looking or feeling for the price. Their is several resolution settings you can go with and even on the lowest setting it performs well. I haven’t had a chance to test all of its functionality but what I have used so far has exceeded my expectations for such a reasonably price Dash Cam.
